Choosing an AQP Bundle
Alpha Quant Pro runs pluggable AQP Bundles. A Bundle may implement rules, ML, or hybrid Strategy logic and declares the symbols/timeframes it supports.
Available Bundles
The Bundles selector is the source of truth for what is available on the current Desktop:
- Local AQP Bundles installed by the user remain available under Standard software access.
- Official AQP Bundles appear only when the authenticated account has the required paid entitlement.
- Do not assume a Bundle supports a symbol or timeframe unless its Manifest declares it.
How to Select
- Go to the Bundles tab.
- Select an installed AQP Bundle.
- Set the symbol exactly as MT5 reports it, including broker suffixes.
- Set a timeframe supported by the Bundle.
- Review account-level risk settings.
Switching While Stopped
If the trading engine has not been started, or has been stopped:
- Select a different Bundle.
- The selection is saved directly.
- No Bundle Worker is started or switched.
- The selected Bundle starts only after you press START.
No hot-switch confirmation is required in this state.
Switching While Running
If the trading engine is already RUNNING, selecting a different Bundle starts the controlled hot-switch flow:
- Alpha Quant Pro asks for confirmation.
- The new Bundle Worker is validated first.
- The existing engine stays online during validation.
- Only after validation succeeds does the new Worker take over.
You do not need to stop and restart the engine for an intentional running hot-switch.
