Error Code Reference

This page lists error codes you might see in Alpha Quant Pro and how to fix them.

Severity Levels

• CRIT (Red): Critical — may affect your trading. Take action immediately.
• ERR (Orange): Error — something went wrong, but you can retry.
• WARN (Yellow): Warning — the system is telling you something. Usually okay to ignore.
• INFO (Blue): Information — everything is working normally.

MT5 Connection Issues

CRIT-MT5-001: MT5 Connection Lost

Problem: Lost connection to MT5 and couldn't reconnect. Cause: MT5 crashed, network outage, or broker server down. Fix:

1. Make sure MT5 is running and logged in
2. Restart both MT5 and Alpha Quant Pro

ERR-MT5-001: MT5 Not Connected

Problem: Can't connect to MT5 terminal. Cause: MT5 is not running. Fix: Start MT5 and log into your broker account.

ERR-MT5-002: Algo Trading Disabled

Problem: "EA button is red" alert. Cause: Algorithmic trading is turned off in MT5. Fix: Click the "Algo Trading" button in MT5 toolbar until it turns green.

ERR-MT5-003: WebRequest Not Enabled

Problem: Can't connect to external services. Cause: MT5 WebRequest is disabled. Fix: Go to MT5 → Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, check "Allow WebRequest for listed URL", add:

Trading Issues

ERR-TRD-001: Order Failed

Problem: Can't place an order. Cause: Not enough money, lot size too big, or symbol not available. Fix: Check your balance and try a smaller lot size.

ERR-TRD-005: Insufficient Margin

Problem: Not enough margin to open a new position. Cause: Too many open positions already. Fix: Close some positions or reduce lot size.

WARN-TRD-001: Spread Too High

Problem: Skipping entry because spread is too high. Cause: Market is very volatile (usually during news). Fix: Wait for spread to calm down.

WARN-TRD-002: News Filter Active

Problem: Skipping entry due to news event. Cause: Major economic data being released. Fix: Wait for the news event to pass.

Risk Control

CRIT-RISK-001: Equity Guard Triggered

Problem: Account is locked because equity dropped below threshold. Cause: Big market move against your position. Fix: Contact support to unlock.

CRIT-RISK-002: Max Daily Loss

Problem: Trading stopped for the day. Cause: Hit your daily loss limit. Fix: Trading resumes tomorrow automatically, or contact support.

Subscription

CRIT-SUB-001: Subscription Expired

Problem: Can't log in because subscription is over. Cause: Didn't renew. Fix: Go to alphaquantpro.com/dashboard/payment to renew.

CRIT-SUB-002: Device Limit Reached

Problem: Can't bind a new device. Cause: Already using maximum allowed devices. Fix: Go to dashboard and unbind old devices.

CRIT-SUB-003: Offline Too Long

Problem: Been offline for more than 3 days. Cause: No internet connection. Fix: Connect to the internet and restart the app.

Network

ERR-NET-001: Connection Timeout

Problem: Can't reach the server. Cause: Network problems or server is busy. Fix: Check your internet connection and try again later.

ERR-NET-002: Server Error

Problem: Server is down. Cause: Server overloaded or under maintenance. Fix: Wait a few minutes and try again.

Getting Help

If you see an error you don't understand:

1. Check the Logs: Go to the Logs page in the app for details
2. Restart: Many errors go away after restarting the app
3. Contact Support: Email support@alphaquantpro.com with a screenshot and your log files
